I am pleased to invite you to the 20th edition of the European Symposium on Suicide and Suicidal Behaviour (ESSSB20).
In 2020, we were forced to cancel the 18th edition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am aware that the world has significantly changed during these years. New challenges but also new opportunities emerged for global mental health and suicide prevention. Thus, I am excited to inform you that we are actively working towards the objective of a successful conference in 2024.
ESSSB is a biennial congress considered as one of the most important international meetings in the field of suicidology and suicide prevention. ESSSB is the place where research and practice meet through the voices of academics, clinicians, stakeholders, volunteers and people with lived experiences.
ESSSB20 will take place from 28-31 August 2024, in the stunning city of Rome, Italy. The “Eternal City”, where history and modernity meet, will be the perfect setting for exchanging knowledge and experiences and stimulating innovative approaches.
